The Arnage R expresses a balance of craft, performance and composure that is uniquely Bentley. The R is for refinement, not just in the meticulously handcrafted interior with its sensuous leather hides and its veneers but in the way it delivers its performance on the road.
The Arnage R and RL are equipped as standard with a 450bhp (336kW) version of Bentley’s renowned 6.75 litre V8 engine, generating a remarkable 645lb ft (875Nm) of torque at just 1,800rpm. This translates into a maximum speed of 168mph (270km/h) and a 0-60mph time of just 5.5 seconds and 5.7 seconds respectively for the R and RL. Nevertheless, the power of the engine is delivered in a smooth and progressive manner, enhancing the sense of comfort and control.
Panels of natural wood set off the chrome brightware of the controls, while fluted seats embroidered with the distinctive winged ‘B’ badge add to an interior ambience that’s as discreet as it is luxurious.
